Frequently Asked Questions
How do I record a voice note?
Tap the Record tab at the bottom of the screen, then press and hold the microphone button to start recording. Speak your thoughts, then release to stop. You can add a title and mood tag before saving.
Where are my recordings stored?
All your voice recordings are stored locally on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded to any servers or cloud storage. Your data stays private and secure on your device.
Can I export my voice notes?
Currently, all recordings are stored locally on your device. We're working on export features for future updates.
How do I delete a recording?
Swipe left on any voice note in the My Dreams tab and tap the delete button. You can also go to Settings and use "Clear All Data" to remove all recordings at once.
Why does the app need microphone access?
Dreamora needs microphone access to record your voice notes. Without this permission, you won't be able to create recordings. We only use the microphone when you explicitly tap the record button.
How do I enable Dark Mode?
Go to the Settings tab and toggle the "Dark Mode" switch. The app will automatically switch between light and dark themes.
What are mood tags?
Mood tags let you categorize your voice notes by emotional state (happy, reflective, anxious, etc.). You can customize your mood tags in Settings → Manage Moods.
Is my data backed up?
Your voice notes are stored locally on your device. We recommend using iCloud backup for your iPhone to ensure your data is backed up as part of your device backup.
The app isn't recording properly. What should I do?
First, check that you've granted microphone permissions in Settings → Privacy → Microphone. If the issue persists, try restarting the app or your device. Make sure you have enough storage space available.
Troubleshooting
App crashes or freezes
Try force-closing the app and reopening it. If the problem continues, restart your iPhone. Make sure you're running the latest version of Dreamora from the App Store.
Recordings sound distorted
Ensure your iPhone's microphone isn't blocked by a case or screen protector. Try speaking at a normal volume from about 6-12 inches away from the microphone.
Can't find my recordings
Check if you have any active filters applied in the My Dreams tab. Tap the filter icon and clear any date or mood filters. If you accidentally enabled Demo Mode, disable it in Settings.
